HCNV results

HCNV project has chosen to use the resources of the new technologies to provide on-line training contents (more precisely blended learning mixing face-to-face sessions and eLearning) easily accessible and more independent from time/space requirements.

Present phase

The present phase of the project is thus finishing. We are now analysing the results of the pilot phase and define the final prototype (both technical and pedagogical environment).

Forums are organised between professionals to point us the core-debates and issues to face the huge need of information and training about how to better detect, convince families and patients to go to a GP and how to better act and care.

HCNV is now in the process of intensive dissemination and valorisation.

Experimental pilots have enabled to implement and test eLearning contents with have been designed both by medical experts (scientific committee) and our pedagogical manager expert in eLearning process.

The first step was to define the needs and motivations of the targeted persons to follow. The results are:

  • It is essential because we all have or will have a case of AD in our family or relatives
  • Better knowledge of the disease and first signs, to evaluate the first symptoms
  • Better understanding of the difficulties and help prevention
  • Help patients, their families and caregivers
  • To participate in prevention and diagnosis of AD

Then the contents have been defined by the scientific committee with 4 main topics:

  • Motivation-Interest (For the caregivers themselves, for the elderlies, for the relationship between both)
  • Knowledge and comprehension (Normal ageing, Alzheimer's and related diseases, risk factors, alert signs)
  • How to confirm suspicion of disease? (Tests for nurses or for social workers)
  • Action (How to manage elderlies and families when suspicion of disease?)

The pilots

Two experimental pilots have already been implemented (face-to-face sessions, eLearning process, forums and virtual classrooms):

  • France (Paris) for 49 trainees (nurses, students nurses and social workers)
  • Spain (Madrid, Tenerife, Galicia, Navarre) for 97 trainees (caregivers, nurses, social workers and many other professions)

Pilots are starting in Lithuania (Vilnius) and England (London). Results are collected and analyse in under process.
