Objectives
General Objectives:
To develop tools and competencies to detect and diagnose the illness as soon as possible and thus to enable people to better live with this illness (patients, family, relatives and medical community). The earlier the signs are correctly interpreted, the better the provided solutions maintain the autonomy and good life conditions.
Main steps and aims:
- To provide a state of the art relative to the detection and care of the AD on one hand and on the training and education resources available for all kind of staff in regular contact with elderly people.
- To elaborate and test the technical and pedagogical environment (LCMS platform) for the distance learning with the targeted publics : nurses and other concerned staff in touch with elderlies with the daily opportunity to detect the signs of illness (social workers, home careers, pharmacists, kinesics .) - this environment will enable to share knowledge and know-how in a collaborative approach (virtual classrooms, tutoring, on-line assessment).
- To integrate and disseminate then the concept of virtual community of practises of the AD exchanging and working like a virtual campus with the professional staff, families, associations, care organizations, enterprises and any other concerned or interested person.
- To make recommendations on the deployment of local and regional networking to provide information and care facilities.
